morning again, ugh hump day means i am only halfway there LOL.
this morning went a little different with pilates complete for everbody. i did the intermediate for less flexible 20 min segment and added a few more back stretches on my own.
this is a body wisdom media release which combines exercise segments in various orders and lengths to come up with 20 or more routines per dvd. i have two of their yoga dvds(yoga for inflexbile and yoga complete for everybody) as well as a cardio/toning dvd and another pilates dvd(which uses more equipment). this particular one is the least favorite of mine but i keep it around b/c i haven't truly tried all the routines on it. segments seem to move rather fast and certain routines don't seem to flow from segment to segment. the instructor also offers little form pointers/reminders which i seem to always need even though i have been doing pilates for a long time. there are certainly way better pilates dvds out there but i think this was a goodwill find so i didn't pay retail maybe a buck or two. it is great for shorter workouts though so i think more work with it may make me more familiar with the routines so i can transition more smoothly on my own.
i would highly recommend the yoga dvds though b/c i find these more restorative/stretch yoga workouts very relaxing and a break from the vinyasa and power yoga variety. great for runners!! when i ran i used yoga for everybody ALOT for my after run stretch b/c the lower body routines really got in there.
well running late to the bus! happy hump day!
