and i mean that in a good way LOL! biggest loser is the first in a series of workouts put out by the show since it started. i had traded this one and vol 2 about a year ago but just re-acquired this one. i really like them even though the production isn't 100% up there with other dvds and sometimes the contestants are little off count from each other. but the point of this dvd is to move and be motivated and that is what Bob does in this one. 2 cardio segments one low impact and one high impact kickboxing style work, one sculpt segment and one boot camp segment. all were 2o min a piece along with a 6 min warm up and 10 min stretch
just to note i only did the sculpt and the bootcamp today. you move fast from one exercise to the next, and there was just enough time to switch weights if i had to, otherwise i stuck with what i had OR had to miss a rep or two to change my weights. i used a range from 3lb-10lbs but they only show them using one set of weights. vidiot has to be creative to make the workout tailor to them :-). each segment has different contestants and bob leading, and the joking and interaction make this a personal feeling workout. like you know what drea is feeling when she tells bob "why are you picking on me" when he makes a move harder LOL. sculpt moves from upper and lower body exercises and finishes on the floor with abs and core. while bootcamp run through two circuits repeating exercises but alternating cardio, upper, and lower body. and the tempo varies so sometimes you hold and sometimes you pulse a few reps.
these dvds are decievenly harder then they appear. even for someone who just finished cathe the other day! the clip of this workout gives an idea but you really don't see the full effect! its good routine IMO. but if production values are a key to your video workouts then this may not be for you. as for me i am on the hunt to re-acquire vol.2 and put the yet release bootcamp and weight loss yoga on my wish list!! bob is just to good of a movtivator to pass up!
