this morning was my scheduled butts and guts workout but doing only the lower body work. i was going to do just the standing lower body and add on cardio but i didn't think i could handle intense cardio after this workout so i just added on the floor lower body work. didn't make it any easier but didn't overkill to much on the legs. which with work all week, have been pretty sore.
its typical cathe folks, although this is not a muscular building workout, more of an endurance. its lighter weights, lots of reps, lots of pulses, few rests, lots of pain! its almost non-stop. even when you do get a break you really don't. nothing really fancy with various takes on squats and lunges, leg lifts, bridge tucks but then there are firewalkers!!! after doing all these sets of walking lunges, squats you do firewalkers where if you follow the link above you can see the clip. ouch ouch ouch!. for floor work you use the ball mostly and the step platform for the glute bridges. there were times i had to modify down to finish or just clock out early for the set. not to early though which is where i was impressed with myself. even the most seasoned exerciser has "complained" that this workout will kill them! so if i miss the last 3-5 reps no big whoop!
also mention that last night i did yoga for inflexbile people's hip opener basics. looks like i will be adding on the longer hip opening segments later b/c i feel DOMS kicking in alread.
