this morning was yoga/abs. i started with the yoga/pilates workout of denise austin's pilates matwork(segment 2). its not a vinyasa flow type of workout but stretches you out with yoga poses to wake up for the pilates move in the second half of the segment of the workout. as usual with denise, there is nothing fancy or ground breaking, just work with the movements and get the most out of the workout. it was a great warm up for the morning.
i followed with body max 2 abs. its a quick 9 minute workout but typical of cathe's non step reps to exhaust the abs. i traded off my core max dvd but find that the shorter ab workout in her other videos have the same moves just shorter on time whihc is fine b/c it should be how well i use my time over how much time, especially with my ab work. if its to long then i get sloppy with my reps where as with the shorter ab workouts of cathe i make the most of it and i did take some breaks or modify but jumped back in. and since its shorter it didn't seem like i took to many breaks so i felt better about the workout. alot of the moves from core max were in this ab segment of BM2 so i still got the enjoyment of variety of exercises just within a more comfortable time frame and rep count. i worked the best i could and i am sure i will feel it tomorrow,if not later.
going to therapy play date so not sure if i will get more yoga in or not. also plan on a laundry mat run to wash some of dh's work clothes for his weekend job. try to get it all done in one day and just relax the next few days.
