angie miller kettlebell bootcamp

i can relate to the song i hate mondays LOL. but i really had all the intention and drive to get a workout in. and seeing this was an untried workout it was all the more motivating to tread in new territory.

i purchased angie miller's kettlebell bootcamp a while back, probably shortly after i purchase my first kettlebell. i haven't tried it b/c its a longer workout at 64 min and i was keeping my kbell workouts short so i know i was overdoing it and focusing on form. from the clips it looks really effective and different then other workouts and the price was right at under $15 from fitness fly. well i am dissappointed that i only made it to set 3. some of the moves are just not my thing. doing some searching i found that angie was certified through kettlebell concepts, which digging even deeper, isn't getting the good rep. while i won't hold that against angie, it has me concerned with some of these moves. why the rep isn't good for concepts among the hardcore kbellers is that this is the same company that brought you kettlenetics. AHA!!! hence the fast and fancy movements!! this workout is meant to be used with lighter bells. no way can somebody like me who uses 15 and 20 to do these quick moves without popping out a shoulder!!

hence while typing i am still previewing the rest of the sets and she sticks with some traditional moves but adding in a different kind of rep/pulse counts with fancy feet. EVEN DOING HOPS!!! my lord i don't think any hardcore kettlebeller would hop with a 35lb or heavier kettlebell! i will admit its a creative workout but i found the beginning borning and hard to maintain with my heavier weight.

while i will be trading this off it is not with a negative review. its hard to review something negative when it just wasnt your cup of tea. angie is clear in her cueing and includes a nice 10 min tutorial to go over many of the moves and the production is well done. she is at least certified in kettlebells(abliet not one that many recommend i do respect she got certified at least) but i just want hardcore. i want to build strength and get mean and dirty with the heavy bells i want to scare ppl. i just won't with cutesy curtsy pulse lunges with bicep curls. i scare ppl with snatches of heavy bells and renegade rows LOL. its just not what i was looking for.

going to stretch for a few minutes. i did some swings just to get going this morning. upper body is planned for this afternoon!
