last night, after my hauling brick workout, i did one of the best yoga segments in my opinion. karen voight's yoga power's(also known as yoga focus) yoga stretch segment. many workouts out there are stretched based yoga but there is something about this one that stands out. they are unique deep stretches held for a good while. she also starts the workout with upper body stretching, something most stretch workouts do lack.slow and controlled and learning to relax into the stretch really helps this short but awesome segment along.
this morning i tried fluidity intermediate workout. i don't have the bar but i modify where need be. like when she ties a band around the bar i have my weight rack for the band. pull ups i could usually lie a barbell between two chairs, but today i just did pull down with weights. otherwise is not a far stretch from using a regular bar. this one just tilts at an angle a bit.
i overall like this instructor as she is soft and instructs well.she takes the time to tell you the correct position before jumping into the exercise. she stretches after each SET, not each exercise but SETS. you work hard and long in a set(although you change angles a lot) but when the one set on one side is done you stretch and repeat. there is plenty of stretching throughout so a long ending stretch wouldn't be necessary to make sure you make the most of your time. the abs are tough, overall barre abs are tough. i modified when need be but not tucking to much and using a pillow under my back.
cardio later. should i run or should i walk again? not sure i am thinking of upping the speed but keeping is to light jogs if i run.
