yay!!! workout

after a shot of crystal light mixed with creatine i went with body pump 61. now to warn i don't endorse or condone supplements like creatine and of the like. i personally finds it helps with my energy during the workout and only take it before weight workouts but everybody is different so just b/c it works for me doesn't mean it will work for you. in fact to much creatine(like rounds that body builders do) could be bad for your liver. hence why i take so little in certain occasions.

now but to body pump. pretty much nothing different in the format other then different music and different sets. in this particular workout, no barbell or step is used for shoulders, just plates. i like the work of the plates although many could find dumbbells more comfortable. when working out at home this is an option but doing a real class its barbell and plates with step. i lighten my load of weights and managed to finish more of the reps. maybe missing one or two here and there. mainly chest track when they do low ends then pump into singles and slow counts(OMG OMG OMG!!!! the pain of it all LOL). for the lunge track they show options of using heavy plates, barbell, or no weight. i went with no weight and made the lunge track doable as well more able to focus on form to get more burn. biceps were a killer b/c my weight may have still been a little heavy but once again they do half way reps then pump into full range so while the weight being lighter may have been a benefit, i was still going to feel a good pain from it. triceps were fun with plates for kickbacks and mixing tricep/chest press with skullcrushers. no plates on that bar just the 10lb weight of the bar itself. the back track was typical with deadlifts, deadrows, and clean and presses. my form is coming along on clean and press. it is fun but i do keep my weights light but still get a great work from it.

my area does actually have some les mills programs but VERY limited in the selection. so i might be lucky to see any new body pump or body combat, body attack, or body step. seems most of their classes revolve around body jam and body flow. oh hum maybe another club will open and have large enough space to hold more classes. one can hope the economy will bounce back so maybe i can become a trainer myself. although body pump is not my strong point i am sure i would be good at body combat or body attack or even body flow. until then just going to keep up with my home workouts.
