this morning i kept it quick b/c i was tired. not much sleep in between the kid getting sick all night. i started with 10 minute solution carb burner-interval blast segment. alternates boot camp style cardio with boot camp toning like mountain climbers, various squats and lunges sequences. a true blast in 10 minutes with some ab crunches thrown in for good measure. next i followed with the bonus gliding workout on mindy's all about abs. i say overall core workout b/c back and hips to get some work in assisting with gliding. typical moves seen in most core workouts but with a twist using the gliding discs(paper plates are also an option for those on carpet, rags for those on bare floor). defiently makes it harder b/c more muscles are working. i just couldn't keep up with the plank knee twists. but for the rest of it i kept up pretty well considering its mindy and i haven't ran into an ab workout of hers yet that even remotely comes close to easy.
i also added on some wii fit work with strength stuff. i beat the trainer on plank holds AHAHAH i am "guru" now but i there are trick to modify so although i wasn't on my toes the hold time i was still holding a plank and working the core. wasn't expecting the high score just a nice icing on the cake so to speak. i also did other various core work like balancing leg raises and jacknifes. my only complaint is that they don't vary much on exercises which is why at some point i would like to get my fitness coach and possibly jillian micheal's game, even though hers didn't get the best of reviews. i was in game stop one evening and notice a pre-order for another wii board compatiable workout games that comes with a few extra gadgets like a leg strap for the wii remotes and a band. all i remember of the name is active and it had a woman on the cover doing boxing and on the backcover she was using bands with the remotes and the leg strap on. the description says numerous exercises for all levels of cardio, strength, and stretch and is wii board compatible. more can be found here with a video. looks pretty good to me but the price tag is a little ouchie.
well plenty of time to save up.
