good morning. rough start but i got in, once i did it was great. i started with flexiblity focus with wii fitness coach. again some abs thrown in before actual stretching. i felt pretty good after that. i moved onto amy's beginner kettlebells again. this time i skipped doing squats b/c my legs are kind of tired from the crossramp elliptical and swimming. i just did some marching instead.
i do plan on another trip to the weight room at the ymca. i plan on doing the same session the trainer walked me through except for some exercises like chest and pull ups i plan on trying 2 sets of 10 instead of 1 set. maybe a little extra on the back as well. but my shoulders are definitley worked out.
i also received a book from a kind VFer for kettlebell training at the Y. its lisa shaffer's get in your best shape. it a spiral bound book with hundreds of pictures for 50 exercises. she ranks them for beginners to advanced. the pictures are great, similar to the firm's older vids where arrows pointed to the muscle worked, each picture has arrows that show the muscles and explain what the form should be step by step. most likely i will stick with the basics until i feel more ready to move on then i am sure i will be showing off alot more in the gym LOL.
happy st. patty's day. no cabbage and corned beef for me however. have a ton of leftovers in the fridge. mostly chicken but still have to finish them off, don't want to waste.
