sun/monday workouts

yesterday morning did a part of biggest loser's bootcamp. i was expecting something similar to bob's boot camps on his other biggest loser workouts. it was somewhat close but not quite. there wasn't much in the way of cardio and it was very low intensity cardio. it was mostly upper/lower body exercise combination. i only did the 20 minute workout maybe i will try the 15 and 10 minute workouts before i base what i would do. i usually love the workouts put out by the biggest loser but i wasn't really in love with this one. i follow 15 minute of upper body workout from wii fitness coach.

last night after swimming for nearly 3 hours i did a nice before bed stretch with denise austin's stretch and flex routine. she is so calm in this one, no high pitch "you can do it" and sexy remarks. just focusing on feeling relaxed and release tension. its a great little workout, she should consider remaking it and putting it on dvd. a nice modern version would be so neat.

this morning i didn't know what i wanted to do. schedule for yoga wanted cardio but was a little tired so i did pilates instead. i went for pilates for life:mat pilates with elise moore. nothing new or ground breaking here. your typical pilates workout done a little lower budget. elise is clear in her instruction but when she did some of the moves i didn't think her form was all that great(during side kicks i notice her torso was swinging a bit too). she leads a small class so sometimes she does the move and sometimes she just walks around and instructs and corrects posture. i wouldn't say i was busting with energy afterwards but i was feeling a lot better. especially my back.

i figure with a little extra energy i would try a real short cardio segment. went with an old favorite quick fix's cardio kick with janis saffell. i did the upper body focused since this was more punching and less work on the legs. for some reason i am still sore(not to sore but noticble when i workout) in the lower body so i didn't want to push it to hard with kicking and jumping. there is some jumps and hops in this short segment but mostly for transition and to push the heart rate up inbetween the slower breakdowns but she does pick up the pace with the punches and it works REAL without having to jump any more LOL.

not quite ready for the monday but at least i have a little more energy to try.
