finished the day with stretch max band work.

thursday i wasn't feel to well so i skipped everything. it tried a step workout it wasn't working then i tried a lighter cardio workout and was just out of it.

friday i came back with iron core way vol.2 . tougher moves, it goes a bit faster but she does give breaks where you get some form pointers before moving on. shoulders sore for that. in the evening i did some practice reps with master kettlebell basics lifting. this breaks down the moves very slowly to learn the form and alignment of the body. this is NOT a workout this is an instructional dvd and a pretty good for that!! it sticks with basics like swings, deadlifts, cleans and snatches. he encourages you not move on to certain exercises until form is down pat for others. ie don't do swings if your deadlift form is off and don't do snatches if you can't properly punch and lock wrists and elbows during cleans. this is a progression and i found the advice and pointers very valuable!.

this morning i was pretty stiff from all the practice but had to go on. i did the am segment from karen voight's streamline fitness. its a 6-7 min warm up of aerobic moves and moves onto upper and lower body work with very light weights. i used 3s mostly. its typical of karen to focus on form over quantity of weight and reps. she is very encouraging with form pointers and to keep moving. i found it a nice lighter change of pace.a lot of her titles are only $3 at big lots so i would check it out.i next did her quick and slim cardio i got in a trade! very easy to follow low impact cardio. some light kicks and punches for fun. she shows moderate to advanced modifications for impact and challenge. she doesn't do this crazy arms like in some of her other workouts. where they are easy to follow until she does some crazy choreography with her arms. i was so impressed with how this workout was perfect for me intensity wise today that i went to big lots and purchased its partner, slim toning on a ball. i know i could use less of toning, weights, etc but i do enjoy karen's workouts. they are simple to follow no brainer stuff and b/c they are shorter for the most part i can focus and give my all on the exercises and be just as tired and work. i think that is the point to her training is to do less but better instead of more and getting sloppy through the middle of a workout.

would like to get the pm segment of streamline fitness in later which is pilates core and yoga stretch. i just got back home from mother in laws at the weather is blistering here so i am going to chill for a while.
