shoveled out

yesterday wasn't an official workout day but yet it was. after some time on gold's gym cardio and wii fit plus i shoveled, for TWO hours. afterward i did karen voight's floor work stretch from pure and simple stretch.

but i like to step back and give a nice rant about this article. i know there are risks with everything you step on from the treadmill to your front step, but i find this article really dogging the wii because of the injuries it COULD cause.

yeah anything can cause an injury if you are acting stupid or not taking pre-cautions to educate(ie stretch and warm up before and after doing intense wii sessions like tennis). it seems to say its like nintendo's fault that ppl are falling off the wii board, hitting themselves or overuse injuries. i am sorry but this should say it could cause injuries if you are being STUPID.i don't know where this doctor in the article came from but she should emphasize that warming up and knowing your limits are all ways to prevent injury not blame the board for people falling down.

now not to blame the article because so many are sheep and take this anyway they want too, it seems to direct some people without working brain cells to stop playing and being active(if this is the only way the do exercise for the moment). just because you can potentially get hurt doesn't mean you should stop. just take the damn precautions to warm up and modify modify modify but don't stop working out even if its just the wii at this point.

scare tactics do not help people to lead a healthy lifestyle. many are probably getting hurt because they have not exercised in so long and there are other articles stating this stuff as 'easy' so people go head first and die hard, that also causes injury. read up,do your homework, and use common sense and the wii won't be so dangerous.

the only time i ever fell off the balance board is when i wore SOCKS on it and slipped. is that nintendo's fault?! NO it was my fault for not using coming sense. wasn't injured excepted a bruised leg and bruised ego
